After filing for bankruptcy two months ago, Artesian Builds is now auctioning off its inventory in two lots through a bankruptcy auction to pay off debts.

PC systems integrator Artesian Builds filed for bankruptcy two months ago, following a storm of hate stemming from a disastrous broadcast organized by CEO Noah Katz. This turned into a chain of events that saw the company end up losing many of its sponsoring partners, as well as highlighting the claims of Artesian Builds making various dubious deals within the company.

Announced in a Tweet, Artesian Builds will be auctioning off what is left of their inventory in an attempt to pay off their debts. The auction is due to start on June 21, 2022. The tweet lists the official court filing and a link to a Dropbox folder with official documents. Inside the Dropbox folder, there is an inventory list for listings.

What is the Artesian Builds auction?

Artesian Builds is auctioning off its own inventory of PC hardware, as well as office supplies like televisions and stationery. Divided into three lots, the auction will also be for the Artesian Builds name and brand. However, we do wonder if it will be worth it or not, considering the amount of public anger the company has faced in the last four months.

Lot #1 in the submission is for their Oakland facility and lists:

  • 45 CPU coolers
  • 43 partially built PCs (in various states of completion)
  • 267 pcs boxes
  • 28 CPUs
  • 40 storage units
  • 427 pc fan packs
  • 35 GPUs (including an RTX 3080)
  • 83 motherboards
  • 62 power supplies
  • 54 sets of RAM
  • Various office supplies and equipment.

Lot #2 is their Durham facility and lists:

  • 215 CPU coolers
  • 233 pcs boxes
  • 270CPUs
  • 162 storage units
  • 356 pc fan packs
  • 46 GPUs
  • 258 motherboards
  • 297 power supplies
  • 195 RAM kits
  • Various office supplies and equipment.

The batch no. Item #3 lists various items related to the business:

  • Trade names ‘Artesian Builds’ and ‘Artesian Future Technology’
  • Artesian Builds and Artesian Future Technology domain names
  • A customer list of 10,000 names, email addresses and postal addresses.
  • 1000 influencer names and email addresses
  • Trademark #90531186
  • $20,500 owed to Artesian for Softgiving

You will not be able to purchase any individual items at the Artesian Builds auction, as the inventory is only sold in batches. No doubt there will be other system integrators keeping an eye on what could be a potential way to get a lot of inventory relatively cheap. The office supplies, though? We are not so sure.

What about the clients?

Artesian Builds currently has a list of hundreds of orders that have been left pending as part of its closure and bankruptcy. Some customers have been successful in charging their credit cards for unfulfilled goods and services. youtube content creator bouquet has openly expressed his distaste for finding his own custom-built PC in the images Artesian has posted of the inventory up for auction at this time.

It’s sad to see customers left in the lurch, because Artesian itself made little effort to do anything about their orders before ceasing business operations, leaving dozens out of work and customers without PCs.
