Plans are in full swing for hosting the annual Marketing Edge Marketing Stakeholder Summit and Brand and Advertising Excellence Awards scheduled for this week.

The 2-in-1 program is an annual offering of Marketing Edge magazine, a publication entirely dedicated to brands and marketing, aimed at the integrated marketing communications industry to demonstrate their commitment to their vision of “Promoting the Idea of Mark “.

Recall that the initiative began with the annual organization of the National Summit of Marketing Stakeholders in 2013. As has become the tradition since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the summit is held virtually on August 26 2021, one day before the Prize-giving evening, scheduled for August 27, 2021.

The virtual summit on the theme: “Rethinking the Blue Ocean Strategy in Uncertain Times”, will feature speakers from local and global thought leaders, academics, captains of industry and outstanding professionals from the marketing communications industry and beyond. In its 8th edition, the summit has become a forum where stakeholders and thought leaders come together to expand the frontiers of marketing and advertising knowledge while setting an agenda for the Nigerian marketing and advertising ecosystem.

The guest speaker for this year’s summit is Ogilvy Africa CEO Vikas Mehta. Vikas will be joined by no less than 21 other speakers at the panel discussion, including other renowned global thought leaders, academics, industry captains and outstanding professionals from the marketing communications industry and beyond.
The Brands & Advertising Awards of Excellence, another noble initiative of MARKETING EDGE, Nigeria’s leading industry magazine, was designed to recognize excellence across the country’s integrated marketing communications spectrum.

The awards ceremony has become the highlight of events in the Nigeria industry stakeholder calendar and a topic of discussion around the world. As expected, the industry is gearing up for this annual marketing ritual and industry practitioners, brands and international partners are full of high expectations for this year’s event.
