The summit-based specialty programs group announced on Monday that it has acquired ESP Insurance Brokerage LLC, a national insurance broker and program administrator for the sports, events and promotions marketing and entertainment industries.

Based in Worcester, MA, ESP offers nationwide coverage and exclusive programs with an in-house underwriting and liaison authority and “A+” rated carriers. Niche solutions include sports insurance for teams/leagues, camps and tournaments, insurance for entertainment, leisure and sports facilities, event liability and cancellation, prize indemnity, weather insurance, liquor liability and special event liability.

ESP was established over five years ago and has steadily grown in the sports and entertainment market. In 2021, more than 850,000 young participants were covered by ESP, and the company had more than $1.5 billion in insured limits covering special events of all types.
